Hopkins Police Investigate Death on Seventh Avenue South

The preliminary investigation does not indicate any danger to the community.

Hopkins police are investigating a death in south Hopkins discovered Monday morning, according to a Wednesday news release.

Officers went to the 700 block of Seventh Avenue South at 7:20 a.m. to check on a man who did not show up for work. Officers found a 55-year-old man dead near the back of the property.

Hopkins Police and the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the case to determine the manner and nature of death. The preliminary investigation indicates that there is no danger to the community. Police Sgt. Michael Glassberg said the information immediately available indicates that the death is not suspicious.
