ReplyThe San Diego Padres opened their 2013 season today with an 11-2 loss to the Mets in New York, City News Service reports. Starting pitcher Edinson Volquez allowed six earned runs in just three innings, while reliever Brad Brach gave up a seventh inning grand slam to Collin Cowgill.
