Thursday wasn’t exactly a day of brotherly love at Brentwood Apartments. Prosecutors accuse a man of stabbing his brother during an argument over text messages at the Hopkins complex. Police found the victim on the east side of a Robinwood Lane building following the incident, Detective Raymond Laudenbach wrote in a criminal complaint filed Friday. The unnamed man said he and his brother—19-year-old Sonny Day Ozuna, of Robbinsdale—started arguing about text messages and then continued arguing about other things. The victim said at one point Ozuna threatened to stabbed him and dared him to “say on [sic] more word,” according to the court documents. A Hopkins man has been charged with attacking his cousin’s boyfriend, stabbing the victim in the head with a knife. Heardian Robert Montjoy, 56, is charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, a felony with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison and a $14,000 fine. The charge carries a mandatory minimum sentence of a year and a day in prison and a $4,200 fine. Police were called to a Hopkins home Oct. 4 on a report that someone had been injured, according to the criminal complaint, signed by Hopkins Police Officer Renee Meuwissen.
