Hennepin County's Top Cop: 'Don't End Your Memorial Day in Jail'

Sheriff Stanek says 87 arrests for boating while intoxicated were made last year in Hennepin County, promises water patrol will have "all boats" on lakes and rivers this Memorial Day.

On Tuesday, Hennepin County Sheriff Rich Stanek was at the Water Patrol station in Spring Park saying deputies, state troopers and DNR enforcement agents will be out in full force this Memorial Day. Related posts:

Hennepin County's Most Wanted Criminals for March 2013

Up to $1,000 is available for information that leads to the arrest of any of the suspects.

The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating its most wanted criminals. All fugitives have felony warrants issued for their arrest. The Sheriff's Office reminds citizens to not approach or attempt to apprehend any of the suspects, as they should all be considered dangerous. A maximum $1,000 cash reward is available to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of any of the suspects. People with information on any of the fugitives are encouraged to call:

Steven Steven, I read Rich Stanek's remarks twice and I don't really see how you are reading into his comments that he has sold his sole to Obama. What I see him saying is basically get the mentally ill into the background check data base. That is where most of the problems come from and are not included in the background checks. On January 28, Sheriff Stanek and law enforcement leaders met with President Barack Obama at the White House to discuss mental illness and gun violence.
