Medical Examiner IDs Hopkins Man as North Minneapolis Murder Victim
Kerry Scott was found unresponsive late Saturday night behind a Girard Avenue North home.
A 41-year-old Hopkins man has been identified as the man who was found beaten to death late Saturday night in North Minneapolis. Kerry Scott, of 518 Texas Ave. S., was found unresponsive behind 3307 Girard Ave. N., the Hennepin County Medical Examiner announced Monday afternoon. Scott died at 11:10 p.m. from multiple blunt-force injuries, and the medical examiner has declared his death a homicide. A Minneapolis police sergeant told the Star Tribune before Scott was identified that the victim appeared to have been beaten to death. Minneapolis police are investigating the case.
