Police Arrest Predatory Offender While Checking on Misdemeanor Warrant

A woman wanted on a misdemeanor warrant had a protection order against the offender, who admitted he’d arranged to give her money.

A misdemeanor warrant on a woman led police to arrest a convicted predatory offender she had a protection order against. The woman came to the attention of Police Sgt. Michael Glassberg when he stopped by the 11th Avenue Holiday service station at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to make a purchase, Detective Stacy Lakotas wrote in a criminal complaint filed Thursday. As he entered the store, Glassberg noticed a woman in a car surrounded by several men and thought the men appeared to be looking around suspiciously. He entered the vehicle’s license plate into the state database and learned that the woman inside had an active misdemeanor warrant for her arrest.
