Hopkins' Nia Coffey Nominated For McDonald’s All American Girls Team
The final roster of 24 girls will be announced Feb. 14
Hopkins High School basketball star Nia Coffey is one of three Minnesota nominees to the 2013 McDonald’s All American Girls Team, organizers announced Tuesday. Coffey is among more than 800 high school seniors from 39 states and the District of Columbia who were nominated for the 2013 McDonald’s All American Boys and Girls Games. The final roster of 24 girls and 24 boys will be announced at 5 p.m. Feb. 14 during the McDonald’s All American Games Selection Show on ESPNU. “This list of McDonald’s All American Games Nominees represents the finest prep talent in the country, and we are privileged to acknowledge them for their career success on the court, in the classroom and in the community,” a news release quoted Morgan Wootten, McDonald’s …
