Police: Woman Started Fight By Peeing on Floor, Fought Officers

Alexandra Gabriel Clark faces two assault charges and a charge of terroristic threats arising from an incident at the Mainstreet Bar and Grill.

A Hopkins woman is accused of assaulting officers who responded to a fight she reportedly started by peeing on the floor of a Mainstreet Bar and Grill restroom and then threatening to hurt anyone who told on her. Police went to the bar Sunday after receiving a call about a fight there, Detective Raymond Laudenbach wrote in the criminal complaint. As they arrived, one of the officers saw a woman running away. Bar patrons pointed at her and yelled, “She did it.” The officer approached the woman, later identified as 20-year-old Alexandra Gabriel Clark, and escorted her away from people who had been chasing her. Hopkins Resident Knocks Out Man in Dispute Over Woman

Matthew Michael McLaughlin has been charged with third-degree assault, a felony.

A man was sent to the hospital after a Hopkins resident knocked him out in front of the Mainstreet Bar and Grill following a dispute over a woman, according to charging documents filed Friday. Matthew Michael McLaughlin, 28, has been charged with third-degree assault for the April 20 incident. If convicted, he could be sentenced to up to five years in prison and fined $10,000. McLaughlin told police the dispute arose because the unidentified victim was jealous that a woman was giving him more attention, according to a criminal complaint written by Police Sgt. Michael Glassberg. McLaughlin said the victim repeatedly told him to “pull up his pants.” When the two were outside the bar with the woman, the man said it again. McLaughlin admitted …
