To the editor: It is with great pleasure that I recommend Jan Callison for County Commissioner with Hennepin County. She has worked cooperatively with the City of Hopkins and other neighboring cities. She assisted the City of Hopkins with ongoing infrastructure projects such as Shady Oak Road and SWLRT as well as working on grants for Shady Oak Beach, Little League Fields and many other projects within the City of Hopkins. Recently she assisted us in the transition of our City of Hopkins dispatch to Hennepin County. To the editor: Why should we bother to vote on November 6? We've heard too many stories about dishonest politicians, unethical candidates, the unwillingness of elected officials to work across party lines to address serious issues, and about our tax dollars being wasted. For all of those reasons, we MUST vote this year; to make sure we keep the ethical, capable people in office who have proven worthy of our trust! By voting to re-elect Jan Callison as a Hennepin County Commissioner, we will keep in office one member of the County Board who is responsive to her constituents, not to a single party. Jan has proven as a city council member, mayor and county commissioner that she will work hard to spend our tax dollars wisely; that she will…

To the Editor: This letter provides my enthusiastic endorsement of Jan Callison in her bid for re-election to the Hennepin County Commission. Jan is an outstanding elected official. More than that, she is an outstanding person who cares deeply about the people that she represents and the many issues that she confronts as a county commissioner. Jan is an excellent steward of the public trust. She is fiscally prudent and she constantly strives to deliver high value services at reasonable cost to her constituents. I had the opportunity to get to know Jan when I served with her on the Minnetonka City Council. It was there that I came to know Jan's intellect, her work ethic, her integrity and her absolute commitment to do what is right. …
