Chambers’ Chipped Tooth GIF Named Second Best of NCAA Tournament

The GIF of the former Hopkins star came from Harvard’s loss to Arizona.

Hopkins standout Siyani Chambers has gotten a lot of attention for his prowess on the court this year—a year in which he helped Harvard to its first NCAA tournament victory and was named Ivy League Rookie of the Year. Now, though, Chambers is getting some less-desirable attention. Last week, the website Complex selected a GIF of Siyani Chambers realizing his tooth was chipped as the second best GIF of the NCAA tournament so far. A GIF is an image format that allows animation. The one-time Hopkins star and Ivy League rookie of the year scored five points against New Mexico.

One-time Hopkins star Siyani Chambers continued his outstanding freshman season at Harvard by helping the Crimson to its first NCAA tournament victory Thursday night. He also received six Rookie of the Week awards, tying him for fifth most in conference history. At Hopkins, Chambers was named Mr. Basketball in 2012 and helped the Royals to state …

Students in the Hopkins school district think about suicide and attempt suicide at rates comparable to the dangerous levels reported in a Harvard study last week—and in some cases even exceed those rates, a local survey suggests. The Harvard study of nearly 6,500 teenagers found that 12.1 percent had thought about suicide while 4 percent either made plans to kill themselves or actually attempted suicide. In comparison, the 2010 Minnesota Student Survey found that between 8 and 25 percent of Hopkins youth had thought about killing themselves, depending on the age and gender. The rates for those attempting suicide ranged from 0 to 5 percent.   Suicidal Thoughts and Attempts Among Hopkins Students NOTE: All numbers are percentages. Click on …
