Driver of Motorcycle Without Plates Flees Police

Enoch Emilio Montante was charged with fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, a felony.

After a driver on a motorcyle attempted to get away at a high speed, police caught up with him. Enoch Emilio Montante, 19 of Minneapolis, was charged in Hennepin County Court last week with fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, a felony. On July 8, a Minnetonka officer attempted to make a traffic stop of a motorcycle without license plates. As the officer began following the motorcycle, which was traveling north on Shady Oak Road near Excelsior Boulevard, the  driver made an abrupt 180-degree turn, then accelerated to 98 mph (in a 40 mph zone), traveling southbound on Shady Oak Road. Hopkins Police: Homeless Man Repeatedly Kicked Victim in Face

A homeless Tucson, AZ, man is in jail following accusations that he kicked a man in the face repeatedly last week in Hopkins, according to court documents filed Wednesday. Christopher Lee Tritten, 40, has been charged with first-degree assault—a felony that carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and up to a $30,000 fine. On Saturday, an unidentified man told police he’d been attacked by a bald man wearing camouflage pants and a black backpack, according to charging documents filed by Detective Renee Meuwissen. The victim’s face was covered in blood, his left eye was swollen shut and he had several cuts on his face. Repeat Offender Faces Felony Domestic Assault Charge

A Hopkins man who’s been convicted of previous assault charges has been charged with felony domestic assault following an argument that arose over a video game console last week. Police started investigating the incident when a woman went to the Police Department lobby Friday following the argument, Police Sgt. Michael Glassberg wrote in the charging documents. She told officers her husband, 31-year-old Danny Lee Pritchard Jr., packed her things and told her to leave their home with their children. She said he “then hit her on the head with an open hand,” according to the charging documents. The woman said Pritchard had also threatened her life and assaulted her multiple times in the past. Man Charged with Assaulting Woman in Hopkins

Mauro Gonzalez Jr. is charged with felony domestic assault after police say he repeatedly punched a woman and slammed her head against his car's center console.

A Roseville man is accused of punching a woman in Hopkins and slamming her head into the center console of his car after they argued about gasoline money. Mauro Gonzalez Jr., 29, is charged with felony domestic assault, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. A woman called police on April 15 and said she had been assaulted in Hopkins, according to the criminal complaint, compiled by Hopkins Police Detective Renee Meuwissen. The woman said she spent the night with Gonzalez, her ex-boyfriend and the father of her four children, at her home and that the next morning he gave her a ride to her cousin’s home in Minneapolis. On the way, the woman and Gonzalez began arguing about gasoline money, she said. …
