Scott’s self-described 'soul music' will kick off this season's Take Five Tuesdays concert series.
Pinning down a genre isn't easy for singer Alison Scott and her 4-piece band. “If we have to pick one word, we always call it ‘soul music’,” Scott said. “It definitely varies. We have some stuff that’s more pop-y and some stuff that’s bluesy, but there’s kind of that underlying tone throughout.” Hopkins residents will soon get a chance to judge for themselves. Scott's band kicks off this season's Take Five Tuesdays concert series Oct. 25 at the Hopkins Center for the Arts.
