Newest Hopkins Police Officer Sworn In

Alex Cady was welcomed as the newest member of the city's police force on Monday.

Hopkins police welcomed their newest recruit to the department at Monday night’s City Council meeting, gathering at City Hall to watch as Alex Cady became the newest sworn officer in the Hopkins Police Department. Police Chief Mike Reynolds briefly introduced Cady to residents and Council members before City Manager Mike Mornson issued Cady’s oath of office. Cady fills a vacancy in the Hopkins Police Department, bringing the police force up to full capacity. Cady grew up in Minnetonka, graduating from Minnetonka High School in 2005 before attending Winona State University. He graduated in 2009 with a degree in law enforcement.
