Sheriff's Office Offers Tips for Calling 911
National Public Safety Telecommunications Week runs through April 14.
(The following news release comes from Hennepin County. Hopkins and St. Louis Park currently have their own dispatch centers, although Hopkins is considering a move to county dispatch. The general guidelines listed here still apply.) In recognition of National Public Safety Telecommunications Week, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is advising residents to review safety information concerning 911 calls. When you call 911 from many cities in Hennepin County, you will speak with a dispatcher at the Sheriff’s Office 911 Communications Center, located in Golden Valley.
