Hopkins Police Department is composed of 26 officers and 14 support staff. The agency also has 15 police reserves who donate 5,000 volunteer hours a year. HPD performs many functions normally seen only in larger departments. It has its own dispatch center, and Hopkins officers join others from the western suburbs to form a SWAT team.
