I end up at several of the coffee and bagel shops in the area on a weekly basis with my laptop, and Munkabeans is by far my favorite. The food is excellent--I recommend the Savvy Vegetarian or Egg Salad sandwiches, as well as any of the soups. The bread they make is amazing. The sweets are hard to refuse, and unfortunately they are on display in all their homemade glory right on the counter. Patty, behind the counter, is very friendly and remembers the regulars. She even invited me to come with my young kids sometime! Best of all, there's this wonderful local, personal touch that Munkabeans has that can't be found anywhere else nearby. On one of my visits we were all treated to an impromptu choir concert by the nearby students from Mainstreet Performing Arts. Caribou: BEAT THAT.
