Fred's is great! I've been taking my shoes here for several years now and prices are very reasonable. He's been able to fix some shoes that I thought were beyond fixing--added in extra elastic for some really tight shoes, fixing a tear in the leather, added a new sole, etc. He's also treated an unsealed suede purse for me too (black dye was getting all over clothes and skin). Like the previous poster, he won't repair anything if the cost is too high or the repair won't work well. I'm very glad for his honesty and his great work!

I LOVE Fred's shoe repair. He has fixed many pairs of shoes for my husband and me and has also declined to fix shoes when it wasn't appropriate and told me why I should bother to fix them. His prices are reasonable and he is so friendly.
Freds shoe repair DESTROYED MY SHOES...I brought three pair of really nice Fluevog shoes for an inside lining repair and to have a SMALL spot buffed out. Pair #1 Blue and Gray was covered in almost a black spray paint and the really nice white intricate stitching was covered up. and the inside fix was just as horrific. Pair #2 They stitching was CROOKED for starters and they stitched into the back padding which look terrible.
Pair #3 the inside stitching looked horrific.... I asked Fred for a refund for the pair they destroyed he gave me $16 dollars (which should've been $20) and didn't even offer to fix or even take responsibility for the work done.... I tried staying true too local business but I will NEVER RETURN...
