Alice Smith volunteers continue work despite bad weather.

Volunteers at had grand plans to improve the school’s playground during this weekend’s , and they weren’t about to let a bit of bad weather stop them from making some progress Saturday.

With the rain outside preventing them from painting, they headed inside to tape together stencils, put together carts and inflate balls that students will use during recess.

The volunteers were improving the play area with a grant from Peaceful Playgrounds. The organization provides a playgound blueprint that minimizes recess conflict by providing students fun activities that have agreed-upon rules.
