What Will Hopkins' Weather Be Like for Fourth of July Weekend?

Here's the answer to the question on everyone's mind heading into summer's big holiday week.

(This story was written by Mike Schoemer.)

It's a four-day weekend, topped off with fireworks and family.

That's a Minnesota Fourth of July.

So, the million-dollar question is, will we have a dry moment?

The answer, in a nutshell, is yes. That's a departure from what seems to have been the norm lately, as more than 10 inches of precipitation has fallen on the Hopkins area since April, making it one of the wettest springs (remember, summer officially started last week) on record here in the Minnesota River valley

According to the Twin Cities National Weather Service in Chanhassen, the metro should see some nice temperatures, slightly below average. Highs should be in the upper 70s or even hit 80, with lows a "windows open" 55 or 60.

That's perfect for sparklers, Snaps and those ugly, little black snakes you light off on the sidewalk.
