Raspberry Festival Events Prompt Several Street Closures Next Week

The Raspberry Festival is full of fun, but there are some minor inconveniences for drivers looking to pass through the downtown.

The following is a list of downtown street closures, courtesy of the City of Hopkins:

  • July 13-14: The Hopkins Arts Festival will close parts of Mainstreet.
  • 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 14: Eighth and Ninth Avenues will bee closed from First Street North to First Street South for the Flat City Bike Race.
  • 5:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. July 15: Mainstreet will be closed from 13th Avenue to Ninth Avenue for the Kiddie Parade.
  • 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 20: Mainstreet will be closed from Seventh Avenue to 14th Avenue for the Family Day Craft Fair. Drivers should also expect delays for traffic going north and south across Mainstreet.
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 21: Mainstreet will be closed from east of Fifth Avenue to 17th Avenue. Traffic will not be able to cross Mainstreet north and south during the parade.
