Siyani Chambers Named Ivy League Rookie of the Year

The one-time Hopkins star led the league in assists and minutes per game.

Just days after winning his sixth rookie of the week award, one-time Hopkins star Siyani Chambers has been unanimously chosen as the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and a first-team All-Ivy pick, the league announced Wednesday.

Chambers led the league in assists (5.7 assists per game) and minutes per game (37.8), while his 12.9 points per game rank him sixth. His six Rookie of the Week awards tie him for fifth most in conference history.

Last weekend, Chambers helped Harvard to its third straight Ivy League title, scoring 16 points in games against Columbia and Cornell. On Monday, he’ll find out where he and the rest of the Crimson team will begin the NCAA tournament.
