Narum runs cross country in the fall but is also one of the best yo-yoers in the world.

Who was your favorite athlete growing up and why?

[Nordic skier] Petter Northug because he came out of nowhere and became a gold medalist in the Olympics.

How would you describe yourself in three words?

Dedicated, handsome and considerate.

What is your favorite subject in school?

Math

If you could be someone else for a day, who would you be and why?

Taylor Swift, because she makes really good music.

What is your favorite quote?

“There are only three things you need to know: how to skate-ski, how to classic-ski, and how to walk along the hospital corridor.”

What song do you usually listen to before meets to pump you up?

"Opposite of Adults" by Chiddy Bang

What has been the most exciting moment in your life so far?

Winning the world championship for yo-yoing in 2005

What are your plans for next year?

I want to stay in the Midwest and, wherever I go, I want to run and ski.
