Hopkins Star Named as Mid-Major Point Guard to Watch

Siyani Chambers now plays basketball for the Harvard Crimson.

SB Nation’s Mid-Major Madness has named former Hopkins star Siyani Chambers one of the top 10 mid-major point guards to watch in the 2013-14 season.

The Ivy League rookie of the year led the league in assists and minutes per game and helped Harvard to its first NCAA tournament victory.

Harvard's Syani Chambers is a budding superstar for the Crimson after averaging over 12 points per game and leading the Ivy League in assists averaging nearly 6 per game in his freshman year. Chambers has the ability to turn [Harvard head coach] Tommy Amaker's recent run in the Ivy League into a dominant dynasty.

At Hopkins, Chambers was named Mr. Basketball in 2012 and helped the Royals to state championships in 2009, 2010 and 2011. In his penultimate game with Hopkins, he set a state tournament record by making 22 of 24 free throws.
