Hopkins Royelles Place Fourth at State Jazz Meet

Hopkins High School’s Royelles dance team finished fourth in the jazz portion of Friday’s state meet.

Erin Kruesi, who runs the Minnesota High School Dance Team Online blog, praised the Royelles’ performance in her coverage of the event.

“Hopkins followed that up on AAA with some excellent musicality and backed with solid skills and technique. One of the harder dances tonight, less obvious perhaps, but appreciated. Very solid in finals tonight,” Kruesi wrote.

In addition to placing among the finalists, Emily Costa and Maddie Renneke were selected for the competition’s all-tournament team.
