Hopkins Girls to Play in Hockey Day Minnesota 2012
The event will take place at Lake Minnetonka.
Hopkins is among the teams that will play when Hockey Day Minnesota 2012 comes to Lake Minnetonka.
That’s the news out today from the Minnesota Wild, FOX Sports North and Minnesota Hockey, who are working together to put on the event.
The Sixth Annual Hockey Day Minnesota is tentatively scheduled for January 21, 2012 and will feature a full day of local hockey-related programming—which, organizers say, is designed as a celebration of the game from peewees to pros.

The event will include three outdoor high school games—including Minnetonka vs. Duluth East (Boys) and Minnetonka vs. Hopkins (Girls), both games played on Lake Minnetonka—as well as a Minnesota Wild game from Xcel Energy Center, and the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers against Colorado College from Mariucci Arena.
