One game away from a .500 record, the Royals trailed 5-2 Minnetonka by just one touchdown at halftime Wednesday— the 21-14 score putting them within striking range of the Skippers.

But that promise was not to be fulfilled. failed to score in the second half, and the Royals' final game of the season ended with Minnetonka up 52-14.

The loss leaves Hopkins without any Lake Conference wins for the season and a 3-5 overall record.
