The Royals collected six first place finishes.

Members of the Hopkins boys and girls 4x400 meter relay teams grinned from ear to ear Friday night following the Hamline Elite track and field meet in St. Paul, posing with their arms around one another as proud coaches and parents took photos of the special occasion.

The two relay squads finished off Hamline University’s annual meet with first place finishes, and the Royals couldn’t help but enjoy the moment.

“The boys and girls are separate, but we still have that camaraderie with each other,” senior Bridget Sweeney said. “We definitely cheer for each other, and it’s always nice winning both of them.”
