(Gallery) Robins Fly Home with State Title

The Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound-Westonka PI Division adapted hockey team wins the 2011 PI state championship.

The western suburbs brought home another state championship Saturday afternoon.

The Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound-Westonka Robins ran the table in the PI Division adapted floor hockey state tournament—defeating Brainerd/Pillager 6-3 in the finals to win the championship.

The Robins dominated play throughout their bracket, scoring a 9-0 win against St. Paul Humboldt in the quarterfinal game on Friday night, followed by a dominate 7-1 performance against Maple Grove in the semifinal game on Saturday morning.

The No. 1 one seeded Robins finished the season with a perfect 15-0 record.
