Against Eagan, Hopkins rode on the back of Jay Homan's pitching, as he held the Eagan team to four runs Saturday evening.

Homan kept Eagan batters guessing and created many easy outs for the defense. At times, the Hopkins offense was overaggressive in its base running, creating a triple play for Eagan in the first inning. But Hopkins was able to jump out into the lead and scored six runs in the game, just enough to defeat Eagan.
