GALLERY: Big Second Half Propels Hopkins Boys Basketball Past Minnetonka
The Royals won their 6AAAA sectional quarterfinal Tuesday against the Skippers by a final score of 87 to 61.
Joe Coleman and Marvin Singleton each scored 23 points to lead the Royals to an easy victory against Minnetonka Tuesday.
Hopkins worked to slow down the pace of the game in the first half and trailed by 32 to 31 at the break. In the second half, the game turned into a run-and-gun-style offensive show that allowed the Royals to take a commanding lead that they never relinquished—finishing with a final score of 87 to 61.
