Fencing Championships Happening at Blake School This Weekend
Nearly 200 fencers will compete in foil, epee and saber disciplines.
Blades will be clashing at The Blake School gym this weekend as the 2013 Minnesota State High School Fencing Championships take place Saturday and Sunday.
Nearly 200 fencers in grades seven through 12 will compete for individual and team titles in foil, épée and saber disciplines. Individual, team weapon and overall high school team titles in each discipline will be awarded for boys and girls Feb. 23. Squad titles will be awarded Feb. 24.
The championships, which are held under the auspices of the Minnesota High School Fencing Coaches Association, conclude the 2012-13 Minnesota High School Fencing League’s regular season.
