Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run Competition - Hosted by the Hopkins Area Jaycees

Aquafina Major League Baseball PITCH, HIT & RUN (PHR) is the Official Skills Competition of Major League Baseball.

The event is open to all boys and girls ages 7-14 Participants will compete in three different skill competitions:

1. Pitch - Throwing strikes to a designated target

2. Hit - Hitting from a tee for distance and accuracy

3. Run - A timed run from 2nd base to home

Registration will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with the competition going from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The overall male and female winner in each age category (7/8, 9/10, 11/12, 13/14), and each individual skill competition will advance to the sectional final on May 26 at Midway Stadium in St. Paul. Sectional winners will advance to the state competition at Target Field, with state advancees earning a trip MLB All Star Weekend in Kansas City, Mo.

*The event is rain or shine, barring extreme and threatning weather.

*Your child's age as of July 17th of this year will determine his or her age in this year's competition.
