Young People's Concert to Take Place Oct. 30

The Hopkins High School Orchestra will perform Disney music, and there will be face painting, snacks, balloon animals and an 'instrument petting zoo' where children can try out various orchestra instruments.

Kids, get ready for an enchanted night of fun full of face-painting, snacks, balloon animals, an “instrument petting zoo” where children can try out various orchestra instruments, all topped off with an amazing selection of Disney music performed by the Hopkins High School Orchestra.

The Hopkins High School Orchestra will perform its annual “Young People’s Concert” on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the mall area of the high school. Director Andrew Bast will lead the orchestra as it performs classic Disney songs including selections from Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey Mouse March, and Do, Re, Mi.

To add just a bit more fun to the evening, the night has a pajama party theme. Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal, a blanket to sit on, and join the orchestra in wearing pajamas.

So throw on your favorite jammies, grab a stuffed animal, and come on down to join the Hopkins High School Orchestra for a magical night of fun.
