(PHOTOS) Hopkins Schools Celebrate Youth Art

The Youth Art Exhibit runs through April 8 at the Hopkins Center for the Arts.

Student art is normally consigned to the refrigerator. But on Tuesday, families filed into the to see more than 180 student works brightening up the Charles Redepenning Gallery.

The paintings, sculptures, pottery and other works make up the Hopkins Youth Art Exhibit. Art teachers at local schools selected the works on display.

In all, there were 120 pieces from elementary school students, 32 from junior high students and 30 from high school students.
