(PHOTOS) Residents Gather at Eisenhower for Community Breakfast
The next Community Breakfast will take place from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Alice Smith.
Families enjoyed breakfast with students Tuesday during the first of two Community Breakfasts taking place as part of National Breakfast Week.
The events are sponsored by a “Share Your Breakfast” grant from the Kellogg’s Action for Healthy Kids initiative. Kellogg’s will donate the monetary equivalent of a school breakfast up to $200,000—the equivalent of 1 million school breakfasts.
The Community Breakfasts allow families to get to know and Eisenhower’s Breakfast 2 Go programs—which serve free, nutritious breakfasts to all students before the school day.
