Minnetonka Rotary Club Hosting Instrument Drive for Hopkins Schools

The drive runs through June 1.

The Rotary Club of Minnetonka is pleased to announce that it has received a grant in the amount of $3,790 from Rotary District 5950, which it will use to help kick-start a community “instrument drive.”

In conjunction with Hopkins School District #270, Minnetonka Rotarians will be collecting used orchestra and band instruments at the main office of all Hopkins Schools through June 1.

These donated instruments will ensure that students in the district can participate in the orchestra and band programs, regardless of financial ability to rent or purchase an instrument.

Cash donations also are needed to help restore and refurbish any instruments that may be donated in a modest state of disrepair.

*Drop of instruments at any Hopkins school during regular school hours.
