Hopkins to Host Paraprofessionals Job Fair Aug. 1

Hopkins Public Schools is seeking special education paraprofessionals, general education paraprofessionals, and playground paraprofessionals for the 2012-2013 school year. Those interested are encouraged to attend a job fair on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Eisenhower Community Center (1001 Highway 7, Hopkins) in room 223. 

At the job fair, prospective employees will have the opportunity to learn about Hopkins Public Schools, meet special education staff and principals, and apply for paraprofessional job openings. Human Resources will also be on site to answer any questions.

Paraprofessionals must have a minimum of two years of post secondary experience or have the ability to pass the paraprofessional proficiency exam. They also should have at least one year of experience working in a curriculum support capacity.   

Located in the west metro, Hopkins Public Schools is a dynamic district known for excellence in academics and teaching. Hopkins Public Schools has six elementary schools, a magnet Chinese immersion program, two junior high schools and one high school.
