Hopkins Schools Gets Top Financial Accountability Award

It's the second year in a row the school district received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International.

Hopkins Public Schools has received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting award from the ASBO (Association of School Business Officials International). The District was recognized for its high-quality Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending 2011. This is the second consecutive year the District has received the award.

Certificate of Excellence awards are sponsored by VALIC and are awarded to school districts that show a strong commitment to financial accountability and transparency. Receiving the award can help strengthen a district’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting.
