Still Trying to Decide About Which Part D or Medicare Advantage Plan to Choose?

The Minnetonka Senior Center is sponsoring Senior Community Services (SCS) to provide 3 nights of Medicare one-to-one counseling (by appointment). SCS, a non-profit agency, has been providing free, unbiased Medicare counseling to Medicare beneficiaries and their families for over 20 years. We are not insurance agents, we will not be
providing a sales pitch. Appointments will be provided by SCS Medicare Health Insurance Counselor volunteers and staff.

Appointments are confidential and FREE. SCS will have completed the research (via www.medicare.gov)
of the cheapest options for you before you arrive. In order to do this, the Client Information Sheet should be completed and turned in order to have an appointment. The information will not be used for marketing, sales or will be shared with anyone and will be kept confidential.

The Annual Election Period (AEP) for picking a Part D or a Medicare Advantage plan is from October 15th through December 7th. Plan changes will be effective on January 1, 2012. We recommend that even if you are happy with your current Part D or Medicare Advantage plan, check how your medicines will be paid in the 2012. Once 2012 starts, it might be too late to change plans!
