Helping Paws to Host Foster Home Open House

This Saturday, Feb. 23, Helping Paws is hosting a Foster Home Open House at the Helping Paws Training Center in Hopkins, from 9-11 a.m.

This Saturday, Feb. 23, Helping Paws is hosting a Foster Home Open House at the Helping Paws Training Center in Hopkins, from 9-11 a.m. With two brand new litters of puppies, Helping Paws is looking for 18 volunteer foster homes to train the service dogs and provide a life-changing gift that furthers the independence of individuals with physical disabilities.

Attendees will have a chance to meet Helping Paws dogs-in-training and speak with current foster homes about their experiences in training their foster/service dogs, as well as talk about the rewards of this unique volunteer opportunity.

Volunteer foster home trainers are the heart and soul of Helping Paws. Fostering a
Helping Paws puppy takes commitment, compassion, and a love of dogs – no
experience is needed. It is an enriching heartwarming experience for foster
homes and the service dogs.  Foster homes volunteer their time and
training to make a difference in the life of a person with a disability.
