(VIDEO) New Hopkins Council Members Take Their Seats

The newly elected members were sworn into office at Tuesday's council meeting.

As happens every two years, the year’s first City Council meeting was a time for just-elected council members to take the oath of office and say a few words.

New council members joined in Tuesday’s swearing in.

Family members of those involved filled as the officials raised their right hands and promised to serve the city. Just minutes later, the new council took its first vote—on a nine-item consent calendar—and then listened to a presentation on tax increment financing and bonding basics.
