It's another quiet week, with only the Zoning and Planning Commission scheduled to meet. So here are three ways to participate in your local government:

Comment on the citywide sidewalk plan: Sidewalk projects are regularly a . Council members would give them something to point to when the inevitable objections arise over a specific project, let homeowners know what’s coming up and allow them to better prioritize scarce dollars. The Zoning and Planning Commission will work on the plan at its meeting Tuesday.

Examine a Blake Road rezoning: The owners of 525 Blake Road, site of the old Knollwood Amoco Service Station, want the property rezoned from a “general business” property to a “neighborhood business” property.
