Residents Claim Three-Quarters of Community Garden Plots on First Day

There were still 50 plots remaining Monday afternoon.

Residents still have a chance to scoop up community garden plots.

As of 3:30 p.m. Monday, the city had 50 plots remaining of the 190 plots it had to start with—a slightly slower pace than the year before.

Registration for the plots started when opened Monday. Gardeners lined up to lease 20-foot-by-20-foot plots in Hopkins’ , near the Westbrooke/Nine Mile Creek area.
