New Park Board Member Takes Oath of Office

Caroline Rinker officially began her term on Monday night.

The City of Hopkins welcomed its newest park board member at Monday night’s City Council meeting, swearing in Caroline Rinker.

Rinker currently works as a senior sales development manager at Symantec Corporation, based in Roseville. She was educated at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota after graduating from West High School in Minneapolis.

“Welcome, there’s going to be some exciting parts with the parks,” Mayor Gene Maxwell said after City Manager Mike Mornson had issued the oath of office to Rinker.

The park board advises the City Council on the operation of parks and recreation programs and facilities in Hopkins and meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month at City Hall.
