  • “Representative Simon has consistently worked to preserve local control and articulately raises concerns during legislative debates about how proposed changes to state law and state programs would affect city residents, businesses, and city governance.”
  • “He was a strong leader in preventing legislation from passing that would have removed city authority to effectively manage garbage and recycling issues in their communities.”

Recipients receive a letter of appreciation and a certificate. The league also mails letters to the mayor of each city in the legislator’s district and encourages them to share the letter with their city council and residents.
