The City of Hopkins is seeking nominations for the annual Community Image Awards, to honor property owners whose pride shines through their property. The Awards recognize people who have made significant improvements to their residences or businesses, including landscaping, accessibility, lighting, signs, or exterior improvements. The Awards also honor those who have demonstrated continued superior maintenance of their property; however, properties that have received an award within the last ten years are not eligible. Nominations may be made by any interested person, and individuals or businesses may nominate their own property. Winners will be recognized at a City Council meeting in the Fall. Awards are given in three categories: Commercial, Industrial or Office; Multi-Family Residential; and Single Family Residential.
The deadline for submitting nominations is August 25, 2012. Nomination forms are available at Hopkins City Hall, on line at www.hopkinsmn.com/departments/planning/award/ or by calling 952/548-6341.
