This forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters (LWV) of Minnetonka, Eden Prairie and Hopkins and is open to all. For many years the LWV has sponsored non-partisan debates for candidates in an effort to educate the public about campaign issues, provide an opportunity for voters to hear candidates discuss those issues face-to-face, and stimulate public interest and participation in the election. Voters can come to the forum and submit written questions to the candidates.
Five candidates are vying for two open seats on the Hopkins City Council - Wendy Anderson, James G. Beauchene, Molly Cummings, Jason Gadd, and Norman Teigen. Garold B. Healy is challenging incumbent Eugene Maxwell for Hopkins Mayor.
