(VIDEO) Hopkins Swears in New Public Service Officer

Brandi Rose Miatke has an impressive resume. She's a former veterinary assistant, with a bachelor's degree in animal science, who enjoys spending her free time running, doing yoga, playing tennis and even kickboxing.

Miatke's resume was vital when applying for a job as Hopkins' new public service officer. That experience—along with her character and work ethic—helped her rise above 136 other candidates vying for the job.

Miatke was sworn in at Tuesday's council meeting.
