Two People Keep Boy From Drowning

The 11-year-old was found in a Blake Road apartment pool.

An 11-year-old boy narrowly avoided drowning Sunday evening when an unidentified man pulled him from a Hopkins apartment pool and a resident performed CPR, according to a news release.

Police and firefighters went to an apartment complex on the 100 block of Blake Road North at 6:06 p.m. following a report of a possible drowning. But rescue workers found the boy alert when they arrived, thanks to the efforts of the two people.

The boy was taken to a local hospital.
