Both face two counts of fifth-degree domestic assault.

Two Hopkins men face unrelated misdemeanor charges for alleged domestic assault incidents over the past several days.

Lenell Tyreese Young, 25, and Ayouba Foday, 28, have each been charged with two counts of fifth-degree domestic assault.

The mother of Foday’s child told police he threatened her with a steak knife May 24 at their shared home in Hopkins. She accused Foday of stabbing her in February and hitting her over the previous two days. She showed officers a scar on her arm, and police saw bruises that the woman said Foday caused.

If convicted, both men face up to 90 days in jail or fines of $1,000.
